Christian Wedding Rings
As the Christian wedding ring came to be something natural, an important goal since we need the Holy religious wedding ceremony, there are churches that condemn wearing this jewelry. A men who refuse to wear a wedding band, or get it out once in a romance escapade, have nothing in common with these dogme religious percepts.
The first ring appeared in ancient Egypt used to mean a symbol of power and a certain authority. In Chapters 41 and 42 of Genesis we find the following words: `Pharaoh took out the ring finger and put it on Joseph's finger.` Then Egypt's wealthy women started to wear gold rings on all fingers. Ornaments were copied by women from the poor of society. They were using materials such as silver, bronze, glass or clay, covered with a siliceous glaze colored blue or green. The Romans had a long time, only iron rings. After year 31 BC appeared the gold rings, but were used only by nobles: ambassadors, senators, consuls and official head of state. Then was given a series of laws that regulated the wearing of rings.

Over time, the ring became mandatory for indicate a person's social class. Then appeared and the engagement ring. In the engagement ceremony, fiance gave a simple iron ring, to the bride's family as a symbol of commitment. Originally, the betrothal ceremony was more important than the marriage, which came only to fulfill the first commitment.
First Christian engagement ring was found in the catacombs of Rome, it was not made out of gold, because of the percepts Bible, and dating from around 200 AD.
Christians have accepted the marriage ring, just because it was a symbol of the commitment of marriage. This is also why they wore large rings on all fingers like pre-Christian Romans. The man gave his wife the ring and the seal of his household goods. The woman was the one that was intended to keep the family fortune.

Finally, the wedding ring begins to be used during religious ceremonies, somewhere in the first half of the IV century. The fourth finger was chosen for the wedding ring to be worn as a symbol of love, left hand was established due to heart, located on the left side of the body. The finger ring, as is known today, was considered as an extension of the heart. The custom was taken from Christians of all nations.
Yet, with the perpetuation of divorce, wedding ring symbolism began to decline, exhortation `till death do us part` staying no more than one empty phrase. Even so, there are still many couples for whom, the gold is still the link that connects the soul of Jesus Christ, a pure and holy character, true love, kindness and humility that are the fruit of true Christianity, and so our influence to make only good anywhere in the world .
