When we talk about diamonds, we have to talk also about the color of diamonds ; the color of diamonds is about the lack of color and the grades of the whiteness of a diamond . There is a classification of the diamonds depending on this parameter, something like a measuring scale for the color grade : the scale is from D the highest quality and Z the last color . The diamonds scaled D, E and F are qualified as colorless and the ones G, H, I and J are called near colorless and they all are named blue nile diamonds and there are also the noticeable color with two categories k to M and N to Z .




The wide range of diamonds offer a great variety of color but they depend also on other several factors such as the diamond’s cut and especially how deep are they cut, the clarity of the diamonds or the size and number of impurities and also on shape they have .

All diamonds considered extremely unique but there is a special category that only one out of every one thousand natural diamonds can be considered a true and natural fancy yellow diamond which have been named the Canary diamond.
The scale for measuring the grade of coloration for this special category of diamonds also begins from the D which means the highest and best quality level of the color till down to Z which defines the color as being very light yellow. But there is further down the scale before lower than the Z grade of color , there start to be some diamonds that start to reach the area of fancy yellow and rare colors .

One of the most unique and rare things that only a few diamonds have is that they posses a pure yellow hue in them. The majority of the other diamonds when you are looking at the ones which are scaled below Z you will notice that the diamonds have othe colors in them such as brown or gray. But there is a situation when a diamond’s color is much lower than Z color but it happens to have a pure yellow hue in it then it is considered to be a natural Canary diamond.

Canary diamonds are something which you can find very difficult in nature because they are made of pure carbon bonded by the strongest bond in nature called Ionic bonds and their yellow color is from a Nitrogen impurity that is included in the crystal structure .

Depending on their color, the canary diamond wedding rings have different prices because the light colors and the medium yellow are not so expensive but the intense yellow and strong yellow colors have a more expensive price but the fancy vivid yellow are the strongest and deepest color which is possible, they are extremely rare and because of all these factors are the most expensive of all the canary but also ones of the most expensive diamonds that exist .
