2 Wedding Rings
The 2 wedding rings are bought by the couple as a symbol of their love to one another in the hope that their love will remain eternal and that they will wear the 2 wedding rings forever. For this reason the selection of the rings is very important. Many couples choose to engrave messages on the back of their wedding rings. This is done for mainly 2 reasons.

One reason is that this makes the two symbolic items truly unique. The other reasons is that this way each persons carries the proof of their partner’s love with them for each and every day of their life, when they are together, but maybe more importantly when they are apart. Some people choose not to wear wedding rings because they do not need their love to be put in words or in objects; their love exists and is proved each day.
In couples where one spouse dies, the surviving spouse continues to wear a wedding ring as a sign of undying love for the other person. This however is not a legal requirement, as legally the marriage ends with the death of one person. There are no legal or social norms with regard to such circumstances. In some areas traditions suggest that after one spouse passes away the wedding ring is to be worn on the same finger of the opposite hand. A different tradition suggests that the surviving spouse guard or even wear the wedding ring of the spouse that passed away.
Regardless of the traditions and social norms, wedding remain symbols. But that also does not reflect on the choice of rings. In recent days more and more unconventional wedding rings are being used. Unconventional materials, design, decorations with gems and stones or different kinds of engravings contribute to creating something unique. Ceramic wedding rings or rings on which the sound waves of the persons saying ‘I do’ have been laser cut are just two of the very innovative ideas used by couples in recent days.

Despite being symbols of love and being an important part of the tradition, costs will always influence the choices that couples make, just as the durability of the materials will influence decisions. Recent materials used may make up wonderful unique rings, but that may be outbalanced by the fact that they may break and need to be replaced after a while. Although most people will not admit to being superstitious few people will take their 2 wedding rings breaking very lightly.
